Somebody Prayed
Somebody prayed, and the burden was lighter.
Somebody prayed, and the day was brighter.
God in His mercy heard each word,
And sent sweet peace to proved that He heard
The prayer that somebody prayed.
Somebody prayed for one who was weary,
Whose life was unhappy, whose days were dreary.
God sent the knowledge of truth to this one,
Led him from darkness into the sun,
For the prayer that somebody prayed.
Into the turmoil of sin one had drifted,
Somebody prayed, and then one was lifted,
Into high places where angels had trod,
Led by the helping hand of God
For the prayer that somebody prayed.
Somebody prayed for blessings for others,
Forgetful of self in thought of his brothers.
God heard the prayer and from heaven above
Sent to this somebody gifts of His love
For the prayer that somebody prayed.
